Implementation
Learn It’s successful methods include a proven process that boosts student achievement. Here’s how we implement our programs:
Step 1: Pre-Assessment
This is designed to mirror your state’s standardized assessment in scope and skills assessed. Our proven system pinpoints skill gaps and allows instructors to focus on those weaknesses so that students can succeed.
Step 2: Student Profile
Using the assessment, an individual profile and instructional plan is prepared for each student and is given to their parents and instructor. This timely and specific report informs instruction in a way that few standardized assessment can.
Step 3: Diagnostic Grouping Report
The pre-assessment is used to develop a Diagnostic Group Report that is provided to every instructor. The DGR identifies the specific skill needs of each student and places them in small learning communities (groups). Students can be grouped by raw score or by commonalities of skill deficiencies.
Step 4: Lesson Sequence Recommendation
Once the groups are identified, a Lesson Sequence Recommendation report is generated that directs the instructors to the lessons in the curriculum and recommends the order of the delivery of those lessons. This allows instructors to avoid covering material which the students have already mastered and ensures that time on task is targeted and instruction is driven by data.
Step 5: Learn It Report Portal
Our Learn It Report Portal allows users to access quick and easy pull-down data using a browser-based application that can be accessed from any internet-connected computer. Users are given a secure login and password to safeguard student privacy. Principals and School District Administrators who use the Learn It program can use the Learn It Report Portal for student-, grade-, and school-level data including:
- Real-time access to student assessment, attendance, and progress data
- Student Learning Plans at the click of a button
- Update on Student Progress available anytime
